You sneezed a violent sneeze.
God, you couldn't have gotten sick at a worst time, now could you? You sniffled, and wiped your nose with a tissue and tossed it to the corner of your room, where there was a trashcan overflowing with a sea of snotty tissues. Gross.
Why it wasn't a great time for the flu to come in?
Well, your BEST friend/ crush America was having a party tonight... and he invited you personally. Damn it.
You huffed, and covered up your face from the sunlight leaking through your blinds.
You were about to drift off to sleep... until your phone rang with its (insert favorite band/singer) ringtone.
You groaned and picked it up, and looked at who was calling.
Alfred... what the hell were you gonna say to him?
You answered..and God did your voice sound horrible.
"DUDE! You sound terrible! You alright _______?!"
"No.. I'm not but thanks for your-," You coughed and you heard Alfred on the other side of the line gasp a little," s-sorry, but thanks for your concern Alfie..."
"Alfie?" You swear you could even feel him grinning behind the line, and you blushed a bit...
"W-Well, its less effort than saying Alfred or America right?"
"Yeah I guess so! So you coming to the party?"
You face palmed yourself.
"NO, I can't go. I'm sick... and I look horrible. I've pretty much locked myself in my room because of how awful I feel." You smiled though. " Thanks anyways for inviting me Alfie. I'm so sorry..."
"Hey! Its alright. I'm the hero, and the hero always has more than just one party! See ya later _____!"
"Bye America." You hung up and sighed. You hated getting sick, and it always seemed to happen to you whenever a big event was gonna happen.....
You curled up, tucking in the blanket around you, and slowly fell asleep.
You woke up to someone knocking on your front door. No.. more like banging on your door.
You groaned and tried to tone it out... but that didn't work. So making slow progress you dragged your butt out of your bed and you folded the blanked across your shoulders, making it embrace you, and slowly made your way to your door. On your way you read the clock. It wasn't even 9'o clock! Who the hell would be-
"YO! ________! COME ON ITS FREEZING OUT HER! THIS JACKET DOESN'T DO CRAP!"
"Alfred?!" You ran over, and unlocked your door, and let a dripping wet America into your living room. He panted and leaned over and put his hands on his knees, you blinked and looked outside.
It was pouring rain. ... How did you sleep through that you'll never know. You closed the door and glared at Alfred.
"What the hell were you thinking Alfred!? And don't you have a party to be hosting?!"
He laughed and stood up slinging his wet hair back... but somehow that cowlick stayed up and looked like NOTHING happened to it. "Y-Yeah I do." he smiled.
You shook your head and glanced at him, blushing a little. You sighed and held out your hand. "I might as well dry that jacket of yours while you tell me."
His eyebrows raised up a little but he nodded, and stripped off his jacket and handed it to you. You were about to pull your hand away but then another article of clothing came onto your hand. You quickly looked over....
" ALFRED. WHY THE HELL DID YOU GIVE ME YOUR SHIRT?!" You were blushing like crazy, but thankfully to your red blanket, it was covered.
"Well, _______, if your gonna dry my jacket you might as well do my shirt too right?!" He grinned that stupid grin you liked so much. You knew it was hopeless to talk back at him, but you glared at him. "FINE. BUT PLEEEEASE KEEP YOUR PANTS ON! I can already see your American flag boxers..."
" Oh you know you want them~" You threw a nearby pillow at him, and quickly darted to the laundry room, red as one of Antonio's tomatoes. Dang it... DANGDANGDANG!
Why did your best friend have to grow up into THAT?! You shifted in you blanket cocoon and threw his stuff in the dryer, and started up, making sure that the settings were right.
Then you came back to the living room seeing Alfred going through your movies.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"DUDE! I didn't know you had a flat screen TV! And you have all these awesome horror movies?! And what about this one! This is from like, 1952! You a collector or something?!"
"No. I just found all these movies in my grandpa's house, and I kept them. That one was suppose to be your Birthday present for this year." You laughed and layed down on the couch. Then you coughed a little. "Ugh... flu."
"You're not going to throw up are you? Cause I'm not cleaning it up."
"Well aren't you nice? And no, this time the flu is not that bad" You smiled at him, and blinked.
Was he blushing?
You got up, grabbed a blanket from the back of the couch, and walked over to him. You slung it across his shoulders, and grinned.
He grinned back." Hey ______! Wanna watch one of these movies?!"
"Alfred... you know how you get during horror movies..."
"WHAT?! What do you think your talking about? The hero never gets scared!"
"Okay then... How bout this one." You took out Paranormal Activity. You heard him gulp and you giggled.
"What, never seen it Alfred?"
"N-no... but I heard it was pretty scary..."
"I wouldn't know, I haven't seen it either!"
"Then why do you have it?"
"Because I was saving it... for um... an occasion." You quickly turned and put it in, and plopped on the couch, and He plopped his butt right next to you. You smiled, and clapped, and the lights went off.
"THATS SO AWESOME!"
"Don't turn into Prussia on me or you're out on the street again Alfie."
" You know, I like it when you call me Alfie~!" He grinned again, and then pulled you close and hugged you.
You flushed red. What the hell?! When did he become so flirty?!
Oh well, even if you attempted to get free, his grip wouldn't release. For petes sake this guy twirled a bison around him when he was like 5 years old, and he can easily tow a car behind him.
You shifted a little and got comfortable and started watching the movie.
[SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE...]
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK!!!!" You and America held on to each other for dear life. God, this movie was RIDICULOUS! Sh-she was just dragged down that hallway!!! Oh.. good.. the guy got her... You sighed with relief, over that scene... but not Alfred.
He was still clinging to you freaking out.
"DUDE! THAT WAS SO SCARY! PLEASE TELL ME THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN TO ME! OR YOU!"
"C-Calm down Alfred! It's just a movie okay? ALFRED!"You shook him with worry. This is the worst he's ever reacted.
He stopped screaming and looked down at you. You glanced down at his lips, but immediately back up to his eyes.
"Alfie... calm down. It's just a movie... nothing is going to hurt you. I promise you. Okay?" You stared up at him and smiled weakly.
That was enough to put a tint of pink on his cheeks.
"O-okay..... he-hey! Stand still for a minute.. okay?"
"O-okaaaaaay?" You kept staring at him, but you stayed put. You studied his motions, as he leaned down to your level, and paused, for he seemed to be studying your lips. This was the longest time America's focused on something else than french fries or cheeseburgers.
You blinked, and the EXACT moment you blinked, he jolted forward and kissed you.
And it felt.... good... but awkward at the same time, cause he was your best friend too, but, this always seemed to happen with boy and girl BFF's. That's it in simple terms.
He pulled back, and you just sat there dumbfounded.
"Alfred there's no need to be sorry! I liked it.. because I like you..."
"I like you too... even more than the fast food I stuff myself with daily." You blushed greatly, and leaned forward, but pulled back.
"Damn it Alfred I forgot I was sick! You just kissed me... so you'll probably get sick too...."
"Hey, at least I can miss those meetings, right _________?"
You punched him in the arm," Yeah.. but you're not sleeping with me in my bed."
"You really need to shut up Alfie... I still have a headache..."
